"What's the point in getting a GoPro?", a question I asked myself a number of times every time I'd thought of getting one. What would I actually video and would it really be of any interest? I watched one, slightly less than the "usual" GoPro video and it really helped make my mind up.

The video in question was by Mike Fry, entitled "My Life vs GoPro", a satirical comparison of the over the top action packed lifestyle of the GoPro athletes to Mike's own life. It's a video that went viral with over 3.5 million views on YouTube and a Google search will throw up all sorts of stories about it. But what struck me was people's comments that his sections were, maybe, not as bad as he thought, in particular the kayaking section being quite serene. This got me thinking, along with a lot of comments at work lately that I get up to a lot of various activities, that maybe I could make some interesting videos.

So I have splashed out and bought a GoPro Hero 4 Session and started my blog as a way of presenting and discussing the videos and other activities that I get up to. I hope you enjoy it and that it pushes me to do more interesting things to write about!
